Hi Frank - Sincere thanks and so pleased you like these pieces and the video - the video took quite a while to create with my very basic software - photos are OK but one day I must get myself a proper video camera - and a helicopter and film crew!

Hi Wookiee - Sincere thanks. I envy you having been to Castlerigg. I have only every seen photos and would love to experience it myself. Who knows what inspirations might appear!

great stuff Malcolm, it could have dragged but didn't due to your masterful use of melody and dynamics. great!

Here are two songs that are different but similar. They both convey a calmness in a very atmospheric way.  The individual components stand out while blending perfectly together.  Great engineering, iow.  Your consistency is just superb.  Great job, Malcolmb.

Hi Mark, Lynn and chasmcg - Sincere thanks and your comments deeply appreciated from musicians of your excellence.

Mark - I know exactly what you mean about how a piece can begin to drag if you are not careful. I don't know about "masterful"! Doesn't sound like me at all! I just have such a low boredom threshold that waiting for the kettle to boil is agony! So I do try to keep my music interesting. Hopefully!

Malcom,

Not many moors in this part of Texas but I get the picture.   You did a fine job on this piece, nice textures and ambiance.    Your backing percussion is superb... Very enjoyable listen...

Hi Markno999 - Sincere thanks and so pleased you enjoyed this piece. Moors are fine. But if I had a choice between cold, damp, soggy, windswept moors and warm Texas prairies, I know which one I would pick!

Hey Malcom!

I'm such a fan of your "Who Will Buy" tune and have been whistling on it ever so often since I first heard it. So it was with great anticipation I listened to these two pieces of music you've made and I have to say - I'm still a fan of your work! It's subtle, modest and intimate but never dull. Well done! I love the way you use the sounds in this library. Great production quality!

Looking forward to your next adventures

Hi Marius - Sincere thanks. Adventures? Now there's a thought! Oh for the energy! Interesting you should mention "Who will Buy". A few months ago I was contacted by a "script writer" who asked permission to use the song in his new musical. Assured me the musical which is a Victorian Murder mystery involving Flower Girls (!) would be an absolute certainty to be a major hit in London's West End and he was already in talks about it becoming a Film! Really? We shall see, but I am sure I just saw several Pigs fly past my window! I never knew my real name was Malcolm "Gullibility" Brown!

Hi Mark - Sincere thanks. I suppose that is what writing music is all about to me. A few moments of peace. I just wish those people who write the software we use would understand this as screaming at the computer and tearing my hair out at its insistence in making a cello sound like an ostrich with stomach acid is not conducive to calm!
