Hello everyone,

Just wanted to know if CW has any free-to-download VSTi and loops for X1? Not considering the buy option now.

Hey Larry,

My friend tried using AlterEgo and V.Delay, but failed in both. In case of AlterEgo, it works fine when used without a DAW but when used within a DAW, the voice bank presets fails to load (says it is unsupported etc). Does the voice bank folder/file needs to be saved at a different location? And the same thing with VST - Violent Delay, where shall the dll file be saved?

Thanks and regards,
Kane

I haven't installed these, but generally speaking....I have a specific drive set up for samples and during the install, I simply direct it to that drive/folder. This is so that I don't fill up my SSD drive which is used only for OS/software.

The .dll's are generally put in here:
 C:\program files\cakewalk\vstplugins

or for a 32 bit system here:
C:\program files (x86)\cakewalk\plugins

Just have to make sure (in Sonar) to point the scanner to these folders when scanning.

Regarding that "fail to load" error.....you might try deleting the download and re-download again......something may have got corrupted.
