Control bar will look something like this:

PDC and FX buttons are RED when enabled, just like in my old mods. When SONAR X1 introduced the new Skylight interface (including this Control Bar), I could not guess if the FX button was enabled or not because the "Sonar cyan" color has about the same brightness than the gray button when it's not engaged. I had accidentally toggled all FX off by keyboard shortcut and wondered a long time why my mix sounds so odd. Finally I found the FX button and clicked it a couple of times and tried to guess if it should be blue or gray; in my opinion it's logical that effects are on when FX button is engaged but someone at Cakewalk has an opposite logic: FX are turned off when FX button is engaged. Confusing... This button was one of the things that made me do mods for SONAR!

I understand the Cakewalk logic better. When the FX button was activated it means the Bypass FX is activated.

I learned to understand that logic, too, but when I saw the button for the first time I was totally confused until I read button's tooltip. PDC acronym is another button which does not tell novice user anything but that button works in normal logic; enabled when "pushed down".

I'm almost ready with the new graphics.  Still some finetuning and testing to be done.
Estimated release time  is during the upcoming weekend.

Mudgel,

I can finally replicate the drag & drop issue you have had in Duckbar's ModPatcher2015 after reinstalling Windows. However, I haven't found a fix yet...

Panu- this looks really nice to me. I love the Darkside theme, and really like your logic with respect to "button" logic. However with Cake's monthly release schedule I am concerned that the Mod's would need to be uninstalled prior to upgrading to a new release, then re-installed. (Apart from the risk of a new release "breaking" something in Duckbar.) Your thoughts?

Updated S-Type Bus Compressor. Cleaner look and surprisingly gray to be a mod. :D

You don't need to uninstall mods when updating SONAR update overwrites all mods made in the TTSRES.dll file but it's easy to re-install mods after SONAR update.

SONAR installer don't care if the existing TTSRES.dll is modded; if Cakewalk has made changes to that file, it will be replaced. If some update does not include changes in TTSRES.dll then mods keep on working just like before.

I'm planning to implement some kind of method to apply desired mods automatically after SONAR update to make things faster and more "set and forget" for people who don't want to go deep in the details in modding.

That's really great news Panu. I am looking forward to trying it out when it's ready. (Man - with all the interest in enhanced flexibility in colour choices, desire for GUI customizations, adding note icons to the staff view - etc -this can really serve a major need for the SONAR community. Many thanks.
