Hi guys,

Some of you may know me and remember these songs.  I've recently picked up Komplete 9 Ultimate and I'm loving the new effects.  Especially the passive EQ and RC24 reverb.  So with some learning finally kicking in and some effects that I really like I have spent some time to completely rework the mix on these two songs.  I also added a session horns track to "love you like this"

I used Roundtone and Stripbus extensively with UAD Ampex ATR 102 on the master buss.  I find this combination to be extremely helpful in achieving a pleasing mix.  FWIW I really dont find any benefit to using cakewalks channel emulations.

In any case I feel like these are as professional a set of mixes as I have ever achieved.  I would love some professional critique of that.

Jeff, Both songs really nice to me and everything fits together nicely. Both are nicely produced and instrumentation in both are right on the money.

Peace and blessings, John

I totally agree with John.  Your voice reminds me of a folk singer from the late 60's, Dave Loggins, I believe his name is.  The guitars are well recorded and performed, and the mix is clean and clear and should sound good on most systems.  All in all, very nice.

Hey John, thanks for the feedback and I am really pleased you liked it.  I used to sing Dave Loggins "please come to denver" when I was a kid.  LOL  probably why I am looking for someone new to sing my stuff now ;)
