When I use to insert an audio track the Pro Channel would be filled in with various components; eq, compressor, console emulation, etc... Now it is blank, but I think I like it that way, so I can fill in what I need as the project progresses.

You can set up your pro channel how you like it, then right click and choose "Set as default".
this way all your pro channels will open the way you like them set up.

To specify the default ProChannel configuration

1.Insert and arrange the ProChannel modules in the desired order.
2.Do one of the following:

- To specify the default configuration for tracks. Right-click any empty space in a track’s ProChannel and select Set Modules as Default for Tracks on the pop-up menu.

- To specify the default configuration for buses. Right-click any empty space in a bus’ ProChannel and select Set Modules as Default for Buses on the pop-up menu.

You can configure the default configuration for new tracks.  This is done, first by creating a new tracks, and then configure the prochannel in the way you wish to have as your default configuration.

Once you're happy with the configuration, then right click an unused area of the prochannel and from the menu that appears, select "Set Modules as Default for Tracks"

Now whenever you insert a new track, the prochannel for that track will be configured as above.

If you do this for buses, you can set the default configuration for new buses.  The default configuration for new tracks is independent for default configuration for new buses.

Thanks, promidi, I am aware of that. I was just curious, because it was always pre-filled with components when I had added an audio track. Like I said, I think I like it better this way. Thanks again for your response.

I posted something similar to promidi but it appears the forums software made it magically disappear again.
(no links, nothing)
Its frustrating because I find myself not replying as much as I used to because im not sure if my post is going to be axed or not. its not worth the hassle of writing a decent post to help someone, only to find the work you put in replying is for nothing.

Chuck, I find your posts super-helpful and hate the thought of you posting less because the forum software can be a little glitchy. I've experienced the same thing you have, so I always do a quick Crtl-C (or copy on my phone) before I submit. Then I verify that my post made it, and if not, I just paste and try again. Take a couple extra seconds is all.
