I just knew there was something missing in like 99.99% of your posts.

Please don't (if even unintentionally) denigrate Steely Dan like that.  I loves me some David Gilmour tone and playing...heck, I even use his Blue series strings on all my electrics.  But from the pitiful animation to the pitiful song this was nothing but disappointing. YMMV.

I liked it...it sounded nothing like Steely Dan. It sounded just like David Gilmour playing Pop Ska or whatever.
His last album was great. Every Steely Dan album is great.
How did politics come up again? I forgot.

I didn't pass an opinion when I started this thread, but yup,  that pretty much sums it up for me. Lame. There's a vid where he's interviewed explaining how the song is based around a 4-note thing you hear at French railway stations before announcements....err...OK David..great...

Of course, he knows that if he were to fart into a Golden Throat and send that feed into an Echo Plex that there are plenty of people out there that will buy it just because he created it.
