Yeah, that's very disappointing as this sorta forces you to use it regularly to keep up with the subscription plan (even if you don't have any project to use it). Don't get me wrong, I love symphonic stuff, but we do need variety.

If they made a provision to own it outright (after a certain $$ figure has been paid/reached), that might be a good incentive to jump in.

Hi,

My understanding of the cloud thing is spotty right now ... in W10, Microsoft is trapping you.

If you use Outlook, Word, Excel and One Note, ALL of the material can be copied and used by Microsoft and you do not own anything. And they can do anything they want with it ... this is the trade out for the "free" use of the software!

Guess what I am NEVER EVER GONNA USE AGAIN!  And I'm already looking to stop using Microsoft altogether! The whole thing is sick and no one is saying anything.

It's a matter of time, before DAW companies do the same thing and steal your music!

I can't believe we're allowing a City of Lost Children to grow ... this is downright scary! Our children and their children will have all their dreams stolen and taken away ... and they won't even know about it or understand it!

Use Spotify to be un-spotty, and then get Win 10 to be on cloud 9?

So, I calculate that the $30/mo for 10 years (assuming that's how much longer I will be producing songs of mine) is $3600. To own all those libs would cost me three times as much.

Worst case, I bounce to audio all the libs I don't own and drop the subscription.

To me this is a good dealio.

Actually I find it a blatant attempt at destroying the copyright laws. And take advantage of the fact that 9 out of 10 people that are in the arts, know absolutely nothing about it.

In the end, it will mean that if you are a writer, you better copyright things NOW kind of thing, so you do not get it stolen. At that point, it showing up somewhere else, would be a blatant steal and could only be done via one thing ... Microsoft! My hope is that this gets turned around, but I think that the FCC needs to step in and say that no company can trade or steal anything from a CLOUD ... before it is too late.

All in all the robbery is here, except that the big companies can do it legally, and you and I go to jail for it!
