Hi,

I'm looking to add a vocal sample to one of my tracks, do you get Rex vocal samples, most of what I see
is WAV, I just think it would be easier to drop a Rex file in, am I correct in thinking this, and if so, where is
the best place to download or buy Rex vocal samples.

Thanks
John

Either format should work fine, but generally speaking, REX works better with percussive sounds and WAV is better for melodic sounds.

You can find vocal loops/samples for sale from loop purveyors like Loopmasters, ADSR Sounds, Splice, etc. Many of them offer multiple formats or allow you to choose a format. You can also find some freebies online, and there are a few vocal loops that ship with SONAR, as well.

I purchased many commercial loops and I can confirm than none of the vocal loop is REX.
The reason is that REX are not intended to be pitch modified, while when you drag a melodic loop into your session you would like to adapt it to your song key at least.

For instrumentals, on purchase, you get both ACID wav and REX.
My internet providers are mainly producerloops and Time+Space. Many vocal loops there.
Sonar handles both well (and for vocals has Melodyne...)
