Toontrack has updated EZmix to v2.1.1. This update is recommended for all users but particularly those running the latest operating systems released by Microsoft and Apple. Note that version 2.1.1 is required for the support of EZmix packs released from this point forward (Q3 2015).
Improved in version 2.1.1:

• The tuner will now detect tones at lower levels than before.

Fixed in version 2.1.1:

• Turning the second shape control knob had no effect in many of the presets in preset packs released for EZmix 1.
• The IR Reverb effect (used in EZmix packs "Indie Guitars" and "Rooms and Verbs") did not sound as intended at sample rates other than 44.1 kHz.

IMPORTANT: this release is tested on Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6 upwards only. It is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or Windows XP. Users with these earlier operating systems are advised to remain at version 2.0.9.

I made the plunge to EZ Mix2 while on sale. Installed it and played around but have not been impressed enough to actually use it. It is probably the least used plug in my bag of tricks. But, if you're a rookie just starting out learning about how to mix and what tools can be used I see where it would be a no-brainer.

I'm exactly the same - picked it up cheap in some sale, used it once or so, was not impressed and now don't use at all - I suppose it is still installed but really cant be bothered to update it!

I have EZMix, and, while I will use it if in a hurry, I can get better
results on my own.  The whole intent of EZmix is for the person
who DOESN'T have the "know how" and wants to get it done in a 
hurry...hence EZ....
