Compaired to yours maybe so but he sounds good and alot of people like this guy . Good music can be made out of junk so lets be greatfull
we have nice instruments to play with .
I'm sure thats all he can afford or else why would he be playing on the street , thats great you have the best of the best and can play them
well .

I think the guy plays just fine. The tone isn't appealing to me though. I have to EQ the hell out of mine to make it sound like a violin.

For the hell of it I did a search for electric violins to buy and found this
guys violin . I can buy that same one for around $300.00 new , I might buy one to mess around with but thats going to be next year before I can buy it .
Wife banned from buying any more music gear this year after spending
$1,500.00 four months ago on drums and guitar plus Amp and case .
I said something the other day about buying this electric violin and she
said you want to die early ! LOL

        Yea Scottys taste in music and his violin sort rubbed off on me
        and this video , once I get the itch for something I'm hooked
        and have to have it .

That violin player is out there doing his best, no reason to try and chastise anyone for trying ever, yeah you can critique them, but saying they sound like *** Is not cool I don't care who you are, and might I point out the violin player was not the one who made the recording.

I stand by what I said.
 
There are a few guys and gals on this forum who really know what they're talking about. And more importantly, they can also deliver the goods. You need to understand that when these people suggest things and offer their opinion, it actually counts for something.
 
And I'd unreservedly put Scott in that group. Not only is the guy a seriously talented performer on a number of instruments, he also knows how to record them properly and make them sound good. Therefore, his opinions matter.
 
What he certainly doesn't deserve is your off-handed sarcasm. Not that, I'm sure, he's going to lose any sleep worrying about it.
