Over at Boz digital labs is a plug in called, "Bark of the dog".

This is an interesting plug in as it will amplify a specific frequency without adding to much in the way of db level. It's easily overkill if your not careful but used very subtly, it can give some oomph to a bass or a bass drum. I haven't tried it yet on guitars so it may or may not work well there.

This is a pretty good plug-in. I think I like it better than Waves MAXBass.

UAD has Voice of God and this guy (from RecordingReview IIRC) called his Bark of Dog.
Clever him.

Ironically enough, I had to stop using it as it caused Sonar's process to keep running after closing Sonar. The thing it did though was give me better understanding of how to use EQ. I made some changes to my EQ settings and was able to duplicate what BOTD was doing.

It's funny you mentioned that Ed. I completely forgot I had Renaissance bass.

I don't get it. Can you explain it please? Is it like the 'bakers' thing?
