I went to see Mostly Autumn last night in Tavistock (Devon, UK). Nice views of the "Blue Moon" as we drove back along the edge of Dartmoor after the concert.

Mostly Autumn were great, the concert was centred around Brian Josh's dark tale of murder, which is their last album "Dressed in Voices". They are a tight band of excellent musicians. Lead vocalist Olivia Sparnenn is a gorgeous and commanding stage presence. She is Josh's wife which could support the theory about lead guitarists getting the girls. When she launched into the "operatic" refrain in the the opening song "Saturday Night" you knew it was going to be a good night!

Tavistock Warf is a excellent, if small venue.

They are worth catching if you like your music on the prog side. More dates this year in UK, Holland and Italy

I see they are playing at Manchester Academy 3 in September. My missus is really poorly at the moment, but if she has picked up by then we may pay them a visit. Nice cosy venue that...

I don't know about "Mostly Autumn", but yesterday's blue moon was exceptionally beautiful here (North-western NJ, USA): perfectly clear sky, very comfortable temperature, very little humidity.

The moon was so bright that it cast deep shadows.  A gorgeous night it was.

I hope that your weather was as nice for the concert.

FWIW.

The concert was indoors but it was a clear night so there were some great views of the moonlit Devon countryside on the way home.

Bummer, man; sorry to hear it.  It was glorious here.  I'm hoping that August is as cool as it often is with the full moon the brightest at this time of the year and meteor showers at a peak (I think October is the second meteor shower high point).

Maybe you'll catch some of that.

Sounds like it was very nice that night in Devon.
