I went to see Mostly Autumn last night in Tavistock (Devon, UK). Nice views of the "Blue Moon" as we drove back along the edge of Dartmoor after the concert.
Mostly Autumn were great, the concert was centred around Brian Josh's dark tale of murder, which is their last album "Dressed in Voices". They are a tight band of excellent musicians. Lead vocalist Olivia Sparnenn is a gorgeous and commanding stage presence. She is Josh's wife which could support the theory about lead guitarists getting the girls. When she launched into the "operatic" refrain in the the opening song "Saturday Night" you knew it was going to be a good night!
Tavistock Warf is a excellent, if small venue.
They are worth catching if you like your music on the prog side. More dates this year in UK, Holland and Italy
