HARDDRlVER
Hello.
Again.
So is there a way to print a list of the plugins that's available in Platinum?

I have approximately 120 Waves plugins as well as those which come with Platinum. When platinum starts up it shows around 380 plugins. I purchased a nice little bundle called Fab Four from Eastwest (soundsonline.com). And then there's Melodyne and Addictive drums that came along with Sonar as well
I have friends would like to know what plugins I own, and without looking at the plugin screen and typing each of them into MS Word or something like that, I'm just wondering if there's an easier way. 380 plugins are a bit too much to spend typing them all into MS Word, one at a time.
Thanks for any insight you might shine my way.

Hi. The best I could find was https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Plug-ins.1.html
Hope it helps.
All the best.

Go to the Resources and Utilities thread in the Software forum, and download VSTInventory (created by forumite Bitflipper). While you're there, check out some of the other resources...it's a thread that's worth its weight in gold. Or actually, Platinum

There are a couple of VST Inventory tools in the SONAR Resources and Utilities page.

This is a great topic. Mix or song specific; can the plugs used/settings, and effects/settings used...be printed out for filing with songs?
If this is a no brainer or old topic my apologies.....😉
Like if one is doing CAD or database work the creation details can be recorded for future maintenance...

That would be cool but I don't think so.

I once wrote a program that would create a report for a SONAR project, including plugin usage, but it was so horribly slow that I abandoned it. Unfortunately, the file format is not publicly documented (understandable, since they reserve the right to change it at any time) and that makes it difficult to extract information from it. If CW ever decides to make the cwp format public, I'll revisit that endeavor.

For simply listing your plugin inventory, VSTInventory will put all your plugins into an Excel spreadsheet, or, if you don't have Excel installed, into a delimited text file.
