  • How many songs on the 1st page?

I know we all work on projects? And we like to share them for constructive input? But how many songs is "too many?" to have on the 1st page of the forum? Realistically, it's difficult to work on more than 1 at the same time? "Maybe two?"

So what I don't understand is when there are like 4? I don't get that. I'm not sure how someone is working "actively" on 4 tunes at the same time? Maybe they are? I just don't understand it. Doesn't make it wrong or bad, just an observation. Perhaps because I've been working on one for 3 months now :-(

Again, "not a rant" just an observation. Rant's are typically hostile and or aggressive, this is neither. And I enjoy the works by many here. Again, I just don't get the rapid fire thing. Seems like more of a promo than an effort to either showcase or get feedback on the latest/greatest.

If you're writing that many.... hey, I got no problem....

personally ... I try to limit it to one or two at the most...and that's when I'm working on a bunch at the same time.

Yeah .... I might have 4 songs in the mix at a given time..... right now, I have nothing I;m working on...

But when they get done, or nearly so, the natural tendency is to get them all up where people can hear them.

You might be talking about me. I posted 3 in the last 2 days. They are songs I already had done. But I just learned how to get them on soundcloud, and I wanted to get some feedback on them because I haven't been able to get any feedback from actual people who record music.
I guess I got too anxious about hearing people's opinions. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

Tough call - but I'd be thrilled to have a few songs that I considered  "listener ready"... I doubt I could keep myself from posting them all. Of course, I only mange a song a year (if that much) so I will never get to flood the page with material. I will say that I don't listen to stuff that is not finished or wip - but if someone said - here are a few songs that I just finished, I'd give them a listen. The only time i could not bring myself to do that was several year ago when a poster (who I think no longer contributes) call Tripicac (or something like that) asked the forum to review is 500 songs and tell him what your top 10 were. I guess that's where I drew the line. Then again, some said OK.

I don't care how many songs a poster has up at the moment for review.  It matters more to me whether they respond to the responses they receive, and whether they respond to other posters.  There are some here who post and post, but don't listen to other people-a one way street.  They no longer get my support.  But, by far, most people are grateful for the support and help they receive and return it in spades.
