The Goons material is always fun ... "I'm Walking Backwards for Christmas" is one of my favorite ones.

I've always liked the first two lines of the chorus in this Randy Travis song....

Then there is this creative tie of words (avenue - you) from an Ian Thomas song made popular around the world by America.
"Every day I sit beside you... on the bus to madison aven-you work in the big gray store, with the revolving doors"

I find more cleverness in comedy than I do anywhere else ... I still think things like "The Goons", "Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band", "Grimms", "Mike McGear", "Neil Innes", and that whole family of folks had some exceptional music with amazing lyrics ... goodness, even Randy Racquel ... is .... (wind sound from your mouth!) ... better than many "words" that people say or sing, specially when they do not have the humor to act it out correctly. We can also do "The Intro and the Outro" and crack up, but the best still is the Pinball Wizard send up, and my favorite album ... Roger Ruskin Spear's solo album "Unusual".
