I've been trying to figure this out over at IK multimedia's site without much success, so let me try here:

Q: Does anyone know if Miroslav Philharmonik works with Sonar Plat x64?

It's obviously a 32 bit program and known to have problems on a 64 bit OS (as far as I can understand). In Sampletank the MP instruments are by far my favorites, and so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the hazzle of attempting an install. So maybe more precisely, for those who've tried to make the two system inter-operate:

1) Is there a VST as part of MP that works with Sonar Plat on x64 and can be installed on a 64 bit OS?
2) How about just importing the instruments/samples into SampleTank 3.5. Does that work, or is functionality missing.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

MP runs on the same ST2 engine and it's very flaky (at best) in the 64 bit environment....YMMV. Many Sonar users have had pretty good success using JBridge (https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/) with 32 bit plugins as well as ST2 and/or Miroslav. AFIK, Sample 3 SE is the cheapest way (without of getting the full version) to import all your legacy samples/instruments.

Mesh, I think you missed the fact he already has Sampletank 3 Full. (It's in his sig).

To the OP -- With Sampletank 3.5, you can import your older 2.xx libraries just fine, so that would be the way to go.

Importing the older libraries is the best reason to have SampleTank3. Works great for me.

I sure did miss that....

OP, do what JonD and BD said....they know what they're talking about.

Built new PC
restored what I could
Most of my IK stuff , Sonik, sample moog, sampletron,ST2x,MP, and a whole lot of Tracks stuff wouldnt recognize or load corrrectly,
remembered I had J bridge on the old PC, reloaded and installed, now they work wrapped in Jbridge,

Thanks for all the good advice. That sounds very straightforward. I'm hoping that Microslav Phil can help me avoid an impending EWHO GAS attack!

Thanks again

Why would you use jbridge when you can use SampleTank3's import feature and have full 64bit function?

Well I've read here by bitflipper (IIRC) that 2.x converted libraries to 3.5 don't always end up sounding the same. It's one of the reasons I never converted them.

TBH I've yet to use my native ST3 libs as my EW subscription, OTS libs and NI's K10U pretty much cover my needs.

Yeah, that ST3's been collecting dust for a while over here as well. Need to rekindle it.
