I didn't have to reauthorize AD2 after the update, though I had to log back into my Cakewalk account in the Command Center before SONAR would let me continue.

I did have to re authorize AD2, but not Toontrack, or any of the other plugin managers / manufacturers I use besides CCC..

I have to re-authorize if I change my shirt. :)

I have a 4k screen set to 100% and suddenly all desktop icons have huge gaps between them.
Does that mean this already got installed? We have no choice?

I did it ! Apart from the usual AD2 minor issue, no problems so far.

FWIW, check the game mode setting - i found Sonar was very sluggish when saving (manual and auto) then i discovered the game mode of W10 was on.

Its now off, and rhe save function is back to normal.

And for those sceptics, no, i still don't regret early adopting.

Well actually no......nowadays it's a service with feature and quality updates 🤓
You no longer have 5 lives and then it's game-over. It's more like Russian roulette....each next update might be your last

Updated 4 computers so far.

GAME MODE is ON as is all the other game crap.

Definitely need a TWEAKui to cover all the dozens of settings that should be DISABLED by default.

--------------------
FYI:   the store updates outside of windows updates. Sometimes a gigabyte:  open store find settings and disable.
---------------------

The One drive nag is now started by an entry in the task scheduler: lots of stuff there that should be disabled for a dedicated computer: especially stuff like auto-defrag,...

----------------------

We have been told that Sonar handles background tasks associated with audio. So the setting should be PROGRAMS.  Other daws, like cubase,... do want the background setting.

Good info here... I know this is not a windows forum, but I do have a question about Win 10.  If I were to purchase it now, I assume that I would be stuck with the Creators update for the default installation.   What would be the recommended way of installing Win 10 without it, if it is even possible?  Will I have to install it and then roll back to an earlier Win 10 version?  Yep, I'm still running Win 7, but the old audio interface is about to give out, and I'd like to get both the interface and Win 10 at the same time...

Thx!
