On my Dell Inspiron 17" Core i5 16GB Ram laptop with NVidia card I am noticing a distinct slow down in vsts being loaded. Was alot faster before Creators update. BTW Game mode isnt on by default is it??

Could be coincidental ..

I installed the Creators update on three computers and Game Mode was "on" by default on all three computers.

Thanks JGMusic. I forgot to look, got distracted when i posted this and forgot :D Crazy that its on by default?

JUST TURNED IT OFF. But no real difference.

Sonar is definitely slower at loading tracks and also at loading Plugins since this update. On loading a file I am getting the NOT RESPONDING thing. I wonder are others experiencing the same?

OK .. solved.

I decided to add a generic Win 10 Creators update thread here, I think the solution deserves it :D

Sorry never read the post correctly first time round. Could be handy for a dedicated gaming machine.

I have since the last post realized that my printer was a casualty of the latest Win update. This on my laptop.
I have the Home edition on that, so some trouble there.
It will not install drivers for it at all (asked to reboot several to no avail), and is rendered useless (for now).
I have tried anything I can think of, but I'm not PC savvy, so might just be user error..
SONAR wise, I haven't had any issues at all.

I had to reinstall the software for a Brother Printer after installing the Creators Update.

I take it you've checked for updated printer drivers on the manufacturer's website? If so, have you tried running them as Administrator?

If that's no good, uninstall any drivers, then try plugging in the printer and running Windows update to see if Microsoft will download and install the necessary files.

An update in the fall screwed printers for many of my clients. We replaced printers and still some of them would not work with USB. Some worked with wireless, and some network, some not.

In January an update nuked printers for a client that i had "fixed" in the fall, and i had to change from network back to usb to get them to work.

"Crative" has made the default printer "feature" far worse than it was. If the default printer is not powered-on when the computer starts the printer might be gone from the list of printers and the XML printer will be set as default. This was a big issue in w7. Fixed in 8 and now worse and worse with w10.

USB connections have been intermittent since 10. Updated a Dell laptop a year ago and none of the USB ports worked. Way annoying.

It is obvious the MS psychos are focused on data theft. Example: cannot get rid of OneDrive. with every update it becomes more insidious. Crative has added a task scheduler entry to nag and nag.
