In one project only Smart Swipe's not working.
Wondering if inadvertently I've turned it off, but don't see how I could.
Suggestions anyone???

I noticed that same issue in a project last night as well.  I tried to swipe the solo buttons of several tracks and it was a no-go.  I didn't get a chance to try another project but it is interesting...

Is Exclusive Solo on? Smart Swipe won't work if Exclusive Solo is on.

Thanks for reply's
Loaded project the next day and swipe is working OK. I do use ExclSolo a lot so that may of been why.
If it happens again in any project I'll check ExclSole first

This reminds me of when I can't figure out why SONAR won't record...until I realize Punch is enabled further down the timeline

Who took it upon themselves to changmy heading to [Solved] and why?

I clearly stated that…

Today it is happening again and not just Solo-Swipe but all other swipe-able options like mute, record, write and so on and regardless of Exclusive Solo’s setting.

This one project is no big problem for me and clearly no other user has replied saying “me too” which is great news. But the fact remains someone took it upon themselves to change my heading to [Solved] before a conclusion has been reached and the issue unresolved is of concern to me.

How many other issues have been marked as [Solved] that are still unresolved???????????????

I see your point but I think your getting a little carried away.

Your problem sounded solved to me, or at least until it happens again.
For what its worth, Smart swipe is working fine here.

Solved! Or not, however someone jumped on the "it must mean everyone else is BAD" if there's a miscommunication here.
Banish this person. There will be future wild accusations coming if not.

How many other forums have had their honor impugned?? Banishment, that's the answer.

No, wait, that was for a troll on another site. I'll click delete on my response..

I did, because you said...

But the fact remains someone took it upon themselves to change my heading to [Solved] before a conclusion has been reached and the issue unresolved is of concern to me.

But it's also a concern that people often do not mark something as solved when it is, because this isn't just a forum, it's a database of solutions. The behavior you described can be replicated every time if Exclusive Solo is on.

Searching on [solved] with a description of a problem can uncover a lot of solutions. In addition, I often go down the threads and look for the ones marked "solved" so I can build my own knowledge of how things are fixed, which not only helps me but makes it easier to help others more effectively.

I check back on threads that I marked "solved." There have been two threads in the past four years when I had to go back in and uncheck "solved" because even though the person thought it was solved at the time, subsequent developments showed the problem remained. OTOH there have been dozens and dozens of threads that were solved, but the OP failed to circle back and indicate it.

If the person never comes back to the thread, it doesn't get marked as solved. It requires the OP coming back in and confirming that it's solved by saying something like "Loaded project the next day and swipe is working OK."
