I miss the original music but I can see how it was a lot of work for some folks ... but I would never waste my time on redo's and redo's and redo's ... I just can't see the learning in it much! Ohhh Pedro, you have to go back to school and write like Aldous again!

This thread reminds me of the Harmony Central Guitar Forum from 2008. Those were the "wild west" days of internet forums. There were a couple of guys from NYC who were regulars that got out of hand, though I'm still friends with one. One was MikeV (I'm sure there are plenty of MikeVs around but he moved to Florida). The other was Carly or Carl. Carl is a GREAT guitarist and Hendrix imitator and he does it well.
Mike made up an alter ego (extra sign in) as Martha. He would take different sides of an argument and use Martha to play on your sympathy then laugh at you.
Carl is just Carl... he will tell anyone anywhere where they go and what they can do when they get there. I'm OK with him because you know what you're getting, at least after you get to know him.
I don't remember who exactly or what over but it got so bad that someone called another person's employer to try and get them fired over a forum argument.
There was some good to all that freedom but a lot of bad too. In a way I miss it but I'm sure there are still places like that and really, I don't miss it enough to subject myself to it again.
 
Carl has some really good gear videos online carlyguitar, IIRC. He is a Strat/Marshall guy worth hearing, IMO. edit > I checked, it was carlygtr or carlygtr56 and he got booted from Youtube on both names because he cannot control his mouth, lol. Like I said, what you see is what you get with Carl but I can deal with that. Some people can't, not these days... might hurt someone's feeligs ya know?
 
It is funny to see how the same thing was going on here in 2008... I see Marius was here. He is one I miss, I always liked him, ProjectM.

I'm confused what happened to the Coffee house back in 2007/2008 that spawned this thread and why did Zonno resurrect it? Too many question not enough answers and who's going to give me a lift home.

No, it was  M. Verderos@ ... you are nothing like these folks. Carl got under so many people's skin someone created a .com dedicated to people who hate him, that's pretty bad.
There seem to be a lot of jbows out there too. I used to have no trouble registering anywhere as jbow, not anymore.

It was fun to stop by every once in a while and enjoy the chaos, but like an attractive younger girlfriend, it eventually tired of me dragging my feet and left me behind.
 
But that was years ago and I don't even know what to think anymore.

You need an attractive, older girlfriend to tell you what to think.

Or get an ugly younger girlfriend............she won't even care about that thinking stuff.
