Another good one Daryl!!!  For not being your personal experience your lyrics are very effective.  You must be empathic.
Nice work!

Well one thing you can do is invert the phase on one of the tracks? That "may" help. It's tricky recording a guitar w/two mics. I'm not saying you did not get a good sound here, just trying to point out the potential pitfalls. What you want to avoid is getting two S's (on their side) where they don't quite line up? That's where you'll get the comb filtering I spoke of, potential phasing, and frequency cancellation. So by inverting the phase on one track, you "flip the S?" There are gear heads here who understand it much better than do I. And I don't mean to misrepresent my ahem "expertise?" as an engineer LOL! Ex spurt is more like it.

I agree w/Herb about the mine and "the shaft..." Been there, done that. :-( Maybe you should post a NEW BANDCAMP LINK!!!

Herb, thanks for thinking of me in those terms.  Jerry Reed was a cool picker.

Freddy, That's just what came up as I was having some fun with this.  My personal experience is polar opposite, but I can empathize.  Thanks.

Robby.  I'm anxious to try your suggestions.  I just got back from a fishing trip in the wilds of Michigan's Upper Peninsula so once I'm unpacked I will give this a try.  Thanks for the information!

Frank, I thought you might appreciate the humor.  I appreciate your listening!

Mike, Thank you.

Really great bit of tunage! I like all your stuff. You got that 70s Firefall, Alan Parsons vibe but it still sounds different.

Great vox!!! Well done!!!

Daryl,

The intro sounded a bit Chet-Atkinish, nice job on this song.   To me your singing voice is very happy sounding, I still felt good listening to the demise of your character;)

Good stuff Daryl! Lyrics and tunes are good. I would like hear some of this with less reverb. I enjoy the level of effort you put in to your lyrics

This is classic, Daryl.  You always write great lyrics which complement each and every song you do.  Don't over complicate the recording of your acoustic.  Usually the easiest solution is the best.  Hope you write a ton of songs on this guitar.

Robert -  My 10 year stint doing Eagles, Pure Prairie League, etc has left a permanent mark on my sound no matter what I do.  Thanks!

Mark - One can aspire to no higher goal than to make someone feel happy.  Thank you!

Terry - Thanks so much for the nod on the lyrics.  Reverb is something I've been fighting all my life.  I try to use less, but it's a struggle.

Lynn - Glad you like the lyrics.  I just was working on a new effort and I recorded the Taylor through my amp and that is a pretty good sound for flat picking.  Thank you!
