Hello fellow Sonarians,

I want to use the "15-Nearly Wurly" patch in Lounge Lizard, but it keeps on reverting back to another choice, "5-Compressed Rhodes". A post from a few years ago that tried to solve a similar problem mentioned sysx messages (there was only one response to the question, so maybe that helped).

More story: I imported a E. Piano midi track from a BUN file used in Home Studio 2004 and have that feeding the Lounge Lizard soft synth. It plays what I played way back in 2004, so the file seems good.
I looked in the Event List and in the Syx views for any messages/ commands about sysx, but I don't see anything.

Could there be another place I could look?

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ray

I think L.Lizard was updated a few versions back in Platinum...
This might be the cause of your issues with it.

if you only want the midi notes, be sure to delete all other midi event types in the event list (not just sysex, but also patch changes etc) it's bound to be one of them

Thank you for that suggestion. But I had no sysex, patch changes, etc.
Perhaps I'm not looking in the right place. Any place else besides the event list?

For the MIDI track controlling the LL, is both your bank and patch set to none? You might have to open inspector to see this setting

By any chance do you have a second MIDI track in the project directed to LL that is set to the 5CR patch?

EP4 is the latest version. I assume you are meaning Lounge Lizard EP4? If it is just Lounge Lizard then you must have an old version.

LL does not see Sysex (in general use-afaik, at least not with the AAS sysex data which I have not foind availabel anywhere). As another poster mentioned above, I'd suggest there is a program change going on somewhere that is causing LL to change. It most certainly does not arbitrarily change patches haha!
