There's a "grunt" or "aggressive" type character that a nice Les Paul has (hard to describe in words)... whereas PRS guitars tend to have more subtle detail.
I like a 60's Les Paul neck slightly better than a SC245 neck... but I like the SC245 body a little better (balances better and a little more comfortable when sitting). The SC245 Pattern Regular neck is a little thicker than a 60's Les Paul (though not as thick as a 50's)... with a bit of a V shape.
My favorite of all PRS guitars is the P24 (Custom 24 with a piezo in the bridge).
We saw Rush on the previous tour. Just couldn't bring myself to spend the money this time.
Front row seats were going for $1800 each!
Would have been great to hear some of the deeper cuts played live.
