I am using a demo of FL Studio 12.1 for some extra fun today. Wow, has this program evolved since the old days. It was easier than Studio 1 or Reaper to get up and running and is jammed with cool features. I had always thought it was a toy but I've changed my mind today. I likely won't buy it because I'm pretty invested in Sonar but it will fuel my feature requests for some time to come.

The demo is 32 or 64 bit and is of the Producer version. You can save projects but not open them again, however, they do tell you that you can render output files at any time. I'd recommend giving the demo a look.

What impecable timing Ampfixer ,
I downloaded the demo a couple of days ago …haven't installed it yet but I'm very interested .
Been watching some of the Groove 3 vids on FL…I guess vids on some of the older versions of the program …nice stuff ..
sure happy CCLarry hipped us all to the 30 day free pass …..
Yeah , if being able to do an export works in the demo ..that is cool … what about Rewire ?
I do like the companies philosophy ..you buy it , you own it , you get free updates , and you use it on as many machines as you own ….nice
I wonder who uses it around here ….

Or it can be used as a vst in Sonar.

It's my favorite DAW. I love their synths.  But it is an apples-oranges type DAW.  Setting up Kontakt basically requires you to make a template.  In Sonar it is far easier.

Yes, and as musichoo said, it can be used as a VSTi in SONAR.  In fact, it works very well as a VSTi in other DAWs. You can also use it as a ReWire device, but that's not my preference. I mostly avoid ReWire when I can.
