For the record... I do love bacon. Got some in my fridge right now.

Don't cut me.

Now here's a serious discussion we all can sink our teeth in.

I thought the idea was to make sure we could sink our teeth into something ... and not lose them!

It is getting to that age, no?

I like medium boiled sprinkled with garlic powder/salt/hot sauce, english muffin with marg/butter and cream cheese... but the rest is the same.

Well if that's coffee... change it to orange pekoe tea (milk and sugar). Not because I don't love coffee but it was killing me and now is the perfect way to ruin my day (and guts... and ticker... and brain).

I'm actually partial to a nice cup of cocoa in the morning. I use cacao powder (posh cocoa - meh) and warm almond milk. Packed full of antioxidants and really gets the blood moving.

Almond milk is awesome but out of my price range (and I don't think I've even seen it in the grocery stores in this town). Considering my docs are telling me to cram myself full of cow juice (which is still bloody expensive) I gotta focus on that.

I am ending up with extra bags (Canucker so milk comes in bags up here which I'v ebeen told is a strange concept to americans) that are still "good" for tea but too old to really slam large glasses of and drinking previously frozen milk is nasty too so I just freeze it for my emergency tea milk... BUT!!!

Now I'm researching how to make various cheeses at home. Since it's whole milk it'll totally work. I can already make certain types of cheese with what I have around here because I always keep vinegar around but that doesn't make the melty type cheese I lurvs. So I need to find out where the heck in this town I can buy some liquid rennet. That's the only special ingredient you need for mozzarella which is fine with me.

I was even twisting myself up about where to find cheesecloth for straining out the whey... but I had an epiphany. J-Cloths!!! Which I keep around for the usual reasons and they are cheap/easy to get. I googly moogley's to see if they were an acceptable replacement for cheesecloth and lo and behold... tons of folks using them. I have a decent collander and a couple large pots so bingo bango... I can make cheese (at least the crumbly kind until I can find some rennet).

Might as well. I'll always have those extra bags of milk around anyway that I won't want to slam due to age (but are still good).

I outsourced my consumption of veggies to various farm animals. I'm very happy with the job they're doing.

.....and that is supposed to make seaweed appealing?

No. But it tells you that near here, folks in Corvallis must smoke some darn good cee-weed!

Ohhh ... I don't do veggies. One can of V-8 is enough, thank you!
