In PRV when you click a MIDI track solo/mute button when it's Softsynth track is also displayed, you have to hover the mouse over the Softsynth track buttons for them to also light up. If you just click the MIDI solo/mute buttons and move away, the Softsynth button remains OFF. This only affects the display not the function.

No one else sees this? It happens in every project I open so it's not project specific here.

If I understand correctly, when you click on Mute/Solo buttons in PRV, you should see the same in the Track view M/S buttons ?

Click one, both should light up. In PRV the 2nd one requires your mouse to hover over it before it lights. Try it.

Most people don't show synth tracks in PRV so won't see this.

Yes, you have to have both the audio track & midi track visible in the prv.
 
Doesn't matter which one you click, Mute or Solo, Audio or Midi, the corresponding light doesn't get lit until you hover over it.

Possible minor bug from new PRV format?! Old style PRV didn't do this.
