I think Sonar, and many of the different DAW packages out there, are all pretty full-featured, and that included midi, included soft synths, as well as all of the audio processing and editing tools and plugins now available.

Different DAW software can be easier for some to use for certain kinds of music, and that's cool.

I have been using Sonar since the Twelve Tone days, and everything currently available is either an extension of things that were able to be introduced and expanded on along its development path, or is some work flow or UI difference realized by the introduction/refinement that began with X1.

I think that for a few hundred dollars, we have some unbelievably powerful capabilities that didn't even exist in high-end studios not so very long ago, and I am STOKED to be able to do what I can do now - AND by the anticipation of things to come.
