So I'm thinking about getting yet another amp sim plugin doohickey.
 
S-Gear.  seems lots of people like it.  I will try the demo.
 
Does it ever go on sale?  it's only $129 list so it's not that much money.
 
I'm just kinda tried of IK Multimedia Amplitube, NI Guitar Rig and my Avid Eleven Rack hardware.
 
maybe I should go line 6 pod.  if I had the money I would do Kempler and Axe-Fx to have great modeling and great fx.
 
I don't know how to play guitar well so I really am not trying to go over board.
 
any advice?  I was shopping for a Vox amp but in the apartment I live in I think this is kinda ridiculous until I move next year into a house.

S-gear is great. I have Amplitube and a HD500X and I use S-Gear 99% of the time. It doesn't go on sale, at least I've never seen it go on sale. Try the demo and see what you think.

S-Gear is indeed great. Another unsung hero is the new Classic Amps package for EZMix 2. Very good.

I like S-Gear, it's become my go to SW amp modeller. I don't remember seeing it on sale, but it's worth the price.

I am not a big amp sim guy (although I have collected a number of them for some reason). I tend to gravitate towards s-gear when I use an amp sim.
 
If you have Sonar Platinum (maybe the other editions too), the amps sims called CA-X (I think?) are pretty good too.
