When using the X1 Media Browser's preview function to audition MIDI drum clips for a project, I noticed that they were even sloppier than some of the *real* drummers I've worked with. At first I was going to blame it on the MIDI clip vendor for being more "realistic" than they really needed to be...but then I noticed that the drummer "sobered up" significantly once I dragged the clip to a track and played it there.

  • Is this a known issue?
  • Am I the only one who's noticed this?
  • May it have anything to do with my ancient single core, 2.19 GHz AMD Athon system?
  • Is there a magic system setting that mitigates this?
  • And while I'm at it...what happened to the message formatting options and why are all my carriage returns being thrown away so my final message looks like one big ugly paragraph?  (It would appear that the answer to the last question is "don't use the new version of Firefox on the forum if you expect those features to be enabled".)

The Firefox 6.0 update broke it, is that what you're using? Some people have seen problems with it on other boards, too, but I've only seen it here so far -- I don't know if it's only incompatible with ASP Playground forums or what.

About the media browser in Sonar X1 - I have the same issue of out of time playback of midi files only when auditioned in the browser. I do not have this problem in my main machine, which has a professional sound card. In this one I am using an Audigy Platinum card, which could be creating the problem...would love to figure it out but it is not crucial...
