I just got around to trying ADD in Platinum after upgrading to W-10 on my laptop. I also just updated Platinum to the new version with the new start page, the August upgrade.. so I don't know if it's a Cakewalk upgrade problem or a W-10 problem, I can sign in and I see both my computers on the XLN website but on the laptop it says I am running in demo mode. I cannot find my authorization number, wait.. I just realized I have not checked my saved emails where I put such.. I'll check there.
I'm not sure what is going on but I sent them an email. Also one their site they do not list Platinum as supported. They say they support X2 and X3... hmmm. There is also something in the error message about making sure my host isn't running in compatibility mode, I don't think I know how to run Platinum in compatibility mode and they said to check that XLN isn't running in compatibility mode. I only have one site in compatibility mode, it runs my day job software.
Is anyone else having a problem? Ideas?

>edit It isn't the new Cakewalk update and it isn't Platinum. It works fine on my Studiocat running W-8.1 So I guess it is W-10.

I have no issues with Win 10.  Do to the fact that this was an upgrade to Win 10
you will need to "reauthorize" that machine for it to work...

I also had to (re)Authorize the DAW after the Win 10 upgrade. I just ran the online installer, added a new name for my machine, and the installer updated all my XLN products.
