I know this subject has already been widely discussed here but I would like to know if there is any way to improve the performance of my Focusrite Scarllet Solo audio interface.
In practically all my projects I use VSTs, mainly with Kontakt and Omnisphere, sometimes EzDrummer.
Although my hardware configuration is good (see my subscription), depending on the project size and VST used, I hear many glitches, characteristic of high latency.
Sometimes even with the buffer size on the limit (1024) I still hear glitches.
That should not be right, since Scarlett Solo should be a good interface.
Would anyone suggest me how to improve this?

For best results with any USB audio interface make sure it is on a USB port that is not sharing bandwith or an internal hub with any other devices. In my case on my desktop I have a pcie to USB card that is standalone with no sharing and I'm glitch-free on most projects at low latency.

Good tip! Could you show me a link to some article that demonstrates how to configure this with Windows 8.1 or similar?

How are you using those 3 monitors with onboard ASrock 1150 LGA ?
Isn't it only dual DVI ? Or are you also using the HDMI as well ?
 
Im not sure they were meant to work like that TBH. Its probably use 1 DVI/1HDMI or 2 DVI.
Its an awful lot to process for onboard video.

Yes, 3 monitors plugged into the 3 onboard video outputs (HDMI, DVI and VGA). No performance issues. I I do not see how this might be affecting the latency of my audio interface.

Your issue is a bit random for a great answer. :)
but, Make sure your mother board is set to overclock or turbo...
 
make sure you audio interface is plugged into the right type (high speed) usb drive.
Check the audio drivers you are using and try other types of drivers and bit rate settings to narrow down the problem.
turn off the wifi on you system when running Sonar.
Make sure that there are no other audio drivers running.
in preferences, reset Configuration file after you change drivers and bit rate.
in preferences sync and catching. I find that having write catching checked can mass things up. but I do have read enabled checked.

How do you know for sure its the Focusrite ?
Have you done some minor tests ?
 
- Open a new project and add only audio tracks.
- Open a new project and add only a few Synths.
 
This should give you a good idea about where your at as far as, is it a synth or a plug in that is giving me problems, is it midi or audio only, exc
 
Take it from someone who has had pops + crackles in the past from video problems. it happens all the time.
Resources are needed to run onboard video and unlike an outboard card which draws/uses Ram from the card itself.
 
onboard video uses is different. it uses CPU, which can lead to many problems including artifacts.
The card was never really intended to use both VGA+DVI+HDMI all at once. the HDMI is more of an added feature for viewing Hi Def.
 

I agree with Chuck.  I have a similar Mobo with onboard video and I'm pretty sure in the manual it say's you can only use 2 at a time. 
Just because the ports are there doesn't mean it will run smoothly.
