I upgraded to v3. I didn't like the workflow in V2 very much and I don't like it much now. I'm glad they've added support for Midi and Virtual Instruments, but Loading a softsynth is rather awkward to me. Not a total waste of $40 bux though. It does add a nice polish to my stereo tracks imported from Sonar. As a DAW... I'm not liking it.

So far, here are the VSTi's that I have not been able to get to work in Mixbus3 (64bit):
Ezkeys (crashes mixbus)
SampleTank3 (crashes mixbus)
Rapture Pro (crashes mixbus)  [Dim Pro works fine]

I have not tried all my vsti's but I went through most and they worked fine.  Strange that Ezkeys did not work, but Ezdrummer and Superior Drummer worked.

So far have not been able to get Ozone 4 or Ozone 5 to show up; they scan, but do not show up in the plugin list.  I am still working through the audio fx vsts, but so far only these two don't show.

I bought the upgrade to V3, but I have a question.
You're supposed to put the license in your "home" folder, and though they explain where it is in a video, I can't find it.
My desktop doesn't seem to have a home folder, certainly not where they say it is. (Windows 8.1)
Help! LOL

If I ever have a problem with Toontrack and that is hardly ever, it's with EZ Keys. I know this doesn't help with your problem but thought I could address the side issue. I wish I knew why so I could help.

it's under your users folder hive, normally C:\Users\[username]

The "home" folder is just your named folder in the users folder. I did a search and found out.

So far I have MB3 rolling along. The mixer is too small. I can't really read the bus names.
And, if you really want to lock it up and watch it crash and burn open an MB2 project in MB3.
I have read some on the forums and such and it is suggested to NOT open MB2 projects in MB3.
No biggie I was just trying to run with something already setup.
I just imported those tracks into MB3 so that I could spend some time with it.
It's pretty cool, but Sonar is my choice for tracking and such, but man does MB make mixing fun and the finished product sure does shine.

Thanks guys. Scott Garrigus told me how that works so, I am good to go, though a little cautious with all the issues listed above!

There actually isn't a folder there called Home on my desktop, but I know where to put it. My FX Essentials license is in the same place on the laptop (Windows 7).

I had the same problem with the mixer being to small. Somehow it magically got bigger or it has something to do with font scaling. Goto: Edit/preferences and select the GUI tab.
