When installing Win 10 I was informed that I had to remove Acronis 2012 in order to install. I don't know if I have to get new backup software now, or if it was just a thing to let the install proceed. Anyone using this software with WIn 10?

Sorry for the waste of time. Acronis tells me it's obsolete and no go with Win 10.

It will probably work if you are using a compatible file system. That's a total guess though use at your own risk. If it works make sure you attempt a test restore.

Pity you missed a really cheap upgrade by acronis recently(50% off). Now 25% off.

The other workaround is to build a recovery CD and boot off that. That does not need windows 10. Everybody who uses acronis should have one of these anyway in case of boot failure.

If it were able to run everything I like to use natively, and enjoyed the support of Hardware and Software manufacturers that Microsoft/Windows has, I must say I would be there almost immediately, or at least when Windows 7 no longer supports my needs.
