I have a problem by comping. I select the best phrases of the song among the takes first and it is OK, but then, when I want to move the selected clip a little bit left or right to fit the right timing - the overlapping piece of the moved take ERASES the underlying piece. So, when I want to go back, I can not do it sometimes.
 
Is there any option to permit overlapping without erasing, as it is in Adobe Audition?

have you look at "drag & drop option" ? check "blend Old and New"

I have blend Old and new enabled in Preferences, but it looks like it doesn't work for the TAKE'S pieces.

Take lanes by design don't allow overlaps.  If you want to have multiple clips sounding at the same time, make a new lane for the overlap and drag the clip to that.

Well, that means that I need to make 10 take lanes, if I have 5 lanes, and want to move the clips for correct timing. It sounds like a serious drawback of comping and it is pity...

If I were you, I would isolate the best takes first, flatten the comp to a single lane, then sort the timing out.

Unfortunately, flattened comp ALSO does not permit overlapping, I have already checked... And moreover, I must again split it to pieces to be able tom move them left or right.

You should also be able to drag/drop into a new track (manual comping). I new track below the take lanes will allow you to ctrl-shift-drag clips then overlap as needed. If the overlap is a one or two time thing, you only need the second track (or additional take lane) for those specific clips.

Well, I am doing something like this, but it is very uncomfortable, especially comparing with the Adobe Audition overlap option. But Adobe doesn't has a comping technology, which is very useful for some purposes...

the take lanes actually do allow overlap, that is what the cross over is for. You can make that cross over quite big if you are trying to merge two clips. As for timing instead of moving the clip you can move the data in the clip by holding "cntr-shift" (I believe) with your mouse over the desired clip. Your cursor should change to a two sided arrow thing like "<<->>". You can then adjust the timing of the data within the clip window. I do this all the time to adjust timing on clips.
 
However, as noted by others, I personally think it is cleaner to do my comping, bounce down to one clip and then split and move the parts around for timing after.
