So have failed to test out the Windows 10 upgrade process on my mini travel and work laptop, due to compatibility issues, I'm trying on my old audio laptop. I want to clean the machine off before I upgrade. Additional to Sonar I have

Applied Acoustics plugs - Which I believe just require uninstalling
XLN Audio - Needs deauthorising before uninstalling
Melodyne Editor - need de-authorising before uninstalling

I logged online to my account and saw 2 computers registered and blindly clicked on remove. When I check the XLN installer, it shows and option to register it. Things that making me uncertain I have done this correctly, is that I am still able to use AD2 drums in Sonar. Is it as simple as just removing the computer from the online account and then running uninstall from Program manager?

Melodyne has a deactivate option on the program, so I guess I just use that.

With AD2/XLN Online Installer if you have used up your registrations it just prompts you to remove one on the next install. Pretty good and simple process. No sort of de-registration process is really required that I can tell. It might keep working until it phones home next.

Cool, that's kind of what I thought, but I couldn't see the option on the installer, and have set my online account. I'll just roll with it then.

I just installed Win 10 last evening on my DAW and everything went smoothly (I made a backup with Acronis 13 just before). I haven't had a chance to test out all or even 1/2 of my plugins, but did see them all in Sonar.

Of note, I couldn't authorize my copy of Arturia's Dubstep (drum synth) in standalone and even when getting the codes from my account online, it refused to authorize and set it to Demo mode. Not a big deal as I don't really use it, but do like to have it ready when/if needed.

I'll check AD2 and others tonight.

This requires elicencer. There is a newer version.  I'm assuming you use your hard drive instead of the dongle. Open the elicenser control center and do the synchronization and maintenance.

Thanks Kite.
Yes, I use the HD instead of a dongle (although I do have an iLok2 not hooked up). I'll check out the Control Ctr. synchro thing tonight......(it was late when I finished installing Win 10 and didn't want to spend too much time last night).

Arturia does not use the iLok. They use the Steinberg dongle.

It doesn't hurt to have one.

Your W10 install corrupted the license on your drive. I had this happen even though I use a dongle. It just meant I couldn't use the hard drive as a dongle until the control center repaired it.
