I have about 14 backups saved on my internal HD (need to put it on my External HD) ever since I started using Acronis 13 (summer of 2014).
Should I only keep the latest 3 (just a random guess) and delete the rest or what's the best way to do this?

Hi Mesh!

I make a Full system image weekly but I only save the last 3 so, at any time I will have the last 4 images available. I really would not want to have to go back and re-install all the software and updates for a period greater than that.

I also keep a backup log (.txt) that lists everything I have installed, the date, and the Image name it would be on.

I do however keep the original Clean system image that Jim made before he shipped my machine. Just my way of doing things.

Kind regards,
Rick

Hi Rick,
That's true, no point in keeping an outdated backup......
I've setup Acronis to do a backup on the 1st of every month (of course, if I just recorded more often, I would be doing the weekly thing ).

That's a good idea to keep a backup log of everything installed (at least my plugins and software)......will also start doing that.
Good info here Rick.....Thanks!!

Incremental.
Haven't tried differential yet.....(don't really know much about it either).

oop's, Mesh, I do FULL images, that is why I only keep 4.

If you're doing incremental things will probably be different for you. May not want to delete until you're sure...!!!
