This song was written by my friends, Buddy Buie & J.R. Cobb... The Music was produced & performed by Nashville's Chip Martin (chipsongs.com)...
The vocal track features Buddy Buie, and was recorded, & mastered by me at "Frank's Garage"

Buddy co-wrote and produced all of "The Alanta Rhythm Section" hit records... as well as many others by different artists...
Enjoy...

When I get mad at my brain I try to stab it with a q-tip, stupid brain, what's it ever done for me? I must say this feels different from you. I like the structure, and the chord changes, and the performances are epic as usual. The melody is different (but good), like the coda/modulation at the end.

And the slide (most excellent) gives it a David Lindley vibe (HIGH PRAISE!)

This is another in a long line of great songs from you and your buddies.  Very memorable.  Its haunting melody will stay with me for a while, as this is a song that I will revisit from time to time.

Great production.  I really like the popping snare - perfect verb.

Nice recording and mastering Frank, especially for doing it in the garage. Very nice sound and some very good production work.

Peace and blessings, John

I would like any information you can provide about the slide and how it was recorded and treated in the mix if you could.

I wish I could tell ya Robby, but like i said at the top, the music was produced and performed by Chip Martin in Nashville... Buddy said Chip played everything... Buddy was not happy with the vocalist, so he decided to sing it himself, and that's when he called me... He's going to pitch it to Troy Tomlinson, president of Sony Records in Nashville... they're old friends...
I wish I could get him to pitch a few of my tunes...
