Changing Marker Names with the Markers Module

I instinctively tried to change the name of a time line marker with the Markers Module and realized you can't do that. Then asked myself "Why Not?!" Feature request?

In table editing is a feature request. The current method is a marker edit dialog opened by double-clicking an item in the marker view.

I believe it can also be done by- hovering over a marker and when you see the cursor turn in to an arrow/right click on it ?

Agreed. Always found the Marker View redundant and useless. Why not simply doube-click a marker in the timeline and get a small dialog box with name and start time. If the marker view doesn't give us any more information than the timeline, why do we need it at all?

The Marker View/Window becomes essential to me when I end up with 60 or 80 markers in a project and need to clean them up near the end.

you don't even need to double click, right click on a marker and it opens the dialog box.

I think that should be a mantra for all inquiries on the forum:

If you're unsure if SONAR can do what you want it to do, right click on it.
It probably does :)
