Hi!

I'm and X3 Studio user.

I know how to make a tempo change from the (Process?) menu.  Doing this results in a tempo that rapidly slows down (or speeds up, depending on what you want it to do) from the current tempo to the new tempo, but is there anyway to make it change that tempo immediately without the gradual slow down or speed up?  I'm using EZ Drummer 2 with the setting for it to follow the host tempo.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have X3 installed but don't think it has changed much.  As stated in the Documentation which is fairly clear, from the menu select Project > Insert Tempo Change which should give you what you want.  There is also the Insert Series of Tempos option to get what you are getting.  There is nothing tempo-wise under the Process menu in SPlat other than Fit To Time which is also mentioned in the doc link above.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I couldn't remember the proper menu.  I had the wrong menu (which is why I had Process with a ? indicating I wasn't sure if I was mentioning the correct menu), but I was trying to find the documentation which you linked. IOW, I know how to get it to ritardando/accelerando, but I don't want to slow down or speed up gradually.  I want to go from 115 BPM to 90 BPM in one beat.  This should help.
