Really fine mix! Yeah it does have that polished sound. I'm listening to the newer mix. I hear a very subtle bit of distortion, but it is very subtle and well tamed.  I'll compare it to the original.

Seems there on the original as well. I think it might be some tube softening used on the vocals coupled with the guitar at certain frequencies. The new mix is a tad clearer mix so yeah, I could notice a subtle difference, but overall they both were mixed very well.   Great job on the production as well as the playing and singing. Kudos!

Oh Mark is the man... You may be hearing this on the vocals;

It colors them a bit? But we like that color :-)

The thing about this that I appreciate most? I won't comment on my performance, My comments and appreciation are for the mix "over all"

And to do that? Mr. No999 had to hear the overall tune? The drums, the guitars (which I think are really awesome...)

He had to hear/feel my vox in the tune? And work them in?

=================

This is really a masterful execution of 1. The singer.

2. How the music wraps around that?

The Engineer is responsible for this? The Job of the Engineer is to glue **** together? And make it sound like "A performance?"

Mr. No999 has a particular gift in this area IMO? I mean, the man can play the damn guitar, OK? He can play it well/hard... And I put his skills up against most (very talented)

However, as referenced earlier? It's not just about the performance? (Otherwise you'd be watching me in inappropriate films?)

So it's not just the performance? It is also about the engineering?

It's a delicate ballet?  And I believe you can't have one without the other?

They both contribute to make (hopefully...) The masterpiece?

We have several colabs? This is one, our hope is that they continue to improve.  It's the Ying and the Yang. Without both? You wind up with the Wang....

Sounds good. I like the mix a lot. I downloaded REDD demo and can not get it to run in X2 64bit. It works on the same computer in X1 32bit. I see it in the correct VST folders. I've wasted an hour and a half.

I'm on an older 4 core Sonar 8.3 machine, and what you're saying is one of the reasons I want to get a new PC, and run 8.3 and my 32 bit plugs forever... I have so much invested in all of my plugs that work well w/Windoze 7 and 8.3 and 32 bit?

I know the X series is cool too? So I mean no disrespect for that SW or those who use it. It's just that my rig works so well as is? But I could use more computing power, and that doubles every 2 years according to Mr. Moore...
