My oldest grandchild will be graduating high school.
 
Then he's off to the U. S. Air Force to lean to be a mechanic. Hopefully that job will be stateside.
 
I remember being in the delivery room when he was born.
 
 

Congrats.  I remember my days in the submarine fleet.  Long Time Ago.
 
Parts of it will stink, parts will be great.  Tell him NOT to stay stateside if he wants to get the most out of his time.  So many ports, so little time.

I'm sure it's with mixed emotions that you're seeing him 'take flight'......congrats to the young man!!!
 
My littlest one will be 18 months old (next month)......it's tough seeing them grow up so fast.

My son is in Flight Ops on the USS Wasp (Navy), and the most important thing I find is that Thanking your grandson for his service is most important and thank you and your family for your commitment to support him!
It's hard of the family's sometimes as well... I truly know how proud you are of him! :)

Congrats Ed. What a great thing to see him serve his country. I will be lucky to see my grandson finish college as my son is just graduating from High School next week. But such is life and I wish you and your family mush peace and success.
