The bass adds the low end that was missing, but a standup would hold true to the rest of the acoustic folk instruments in use. You might want to hear that before you wrap this one up.

Wonderful stuff Robby

I know your voice has a different timbre, but there's something about your performance on this song that reminds me of the Jim Reeves records that my dear old mum used to listen to when I was a kid.

Maybe it's the heartfelt delivery, I'm not sure, but it sure works for me.

Nice job.

I like the writing. Great hook.

I second James' comment about your vocals..... you are hitting your stride on recording good vocals.

Nice job all the way around.

My only nit has to do with a few minor phrasing issues. Had I written or assisted on the write..... I might have suggested this>>>...woke me up With a kiss.... <<<  that would flow better.... more natural. But I didn't.

I really like it.... it has a natural feel to it and ..... damn fine job.

4 hours?

Wow. Now that's commendable. I've just gotten thru finding a decent hi hat after 4 hours....

Sounds great!  Nice mix - harmonies - very crisp and clear.  Vocals are top notch as usual - such a rich and expressive voice.  And you delivered the instrumental performances just right.  4 hours?  I would have never guessed that.  And without metronome the performances are really tight.  Great job!

yeah, I like to think about our people on which we build? In their studios... They didn't have the punch-in? They couldn't comp it. They didn't have the wide array of tools we have at our disposal? Consiquently, I believe they were just better "because they had to be?" We have it so much easier here now, with all of the tools, all of the power, editing, etc...

There are still great musicians, but the technology removes that as a requirement almost each day...

well, they could certainly edit and punch in, but not with the ease we could.... their edits often required a razor blade and a roll of tape.

Yes, we do have it "easy" in many respects, and technology makes it easier everyday to create music that was impossible just a few short years ago.....

........ but one thing has not changed. It still takes the human creative mind and spark of inspiration to write the songs.
