  • EWQL Composer Cloud authorisation driving me bonkers...

Anyone else had frustrations with their authorisation process? I sprung for the Composer Cloud subscription today, having read this particular offering does not require iLok. My invoice arrives by email with no authorisation code on it, but the help file in the authorisation wizard states it should be on the invoice. So, I raise a ticket, clearly stating I do not have iLok, and get a reply back telling me to download the iLok manager, go to my iLok account, and drag my EW licence key into the iLok authorisation window (Garritan style I suppose) I mean, first of all, I have been sent NO licence key file along with NO authorisation code.

I have a feeling this is going to be frustrating. Wondering if anyone here has registered for the EWQL Composer Cloud and successfully managed a none iLok authorisation?

If it wasn't for frustration I would have no stration at all!!

Good luck.

Post a follow up. It is pretty expensive (cheap compared to cable but still...) Did you get the $50 a month deal? I guess that really isn't expensive, if you use it.. and if it works.

Hi Jbow, I got it all sorted in the end, there was not one document describing the iLok process to a first time EWQL / iLok user, so by trial and error and some Googling I managed to get it all to hang together. I have the $29.99 pm deal, which enables me to select 7 libraries, with the ability to then add another every three months. Its a pretty good deal, they just need to make it a little easier for the new users to get up and running.
