  • SOLVED: XLN Won't install - and their support isn't helping me

Hi all,

XLN Audio's installer is getting Ajax scripting errors and I can't install any of my XLN products. I submitted a ticket, and they were quick to respond with the standard stuff (update IE, enable scripting, etc.) None of that helped. Then they asked for a log file, which I created and sent, and now it's been 21 days with no communication.

I feel like they gave up. :(

I'm baffled that there is no other way to install rather than use the web-based installer. Do any of you have any ideas on this?

.. Then run windows update Inc optional updates several times. Temporarily disable any virus scanners or malware scanners.

thanks guys - I've done all that with no luck. I actually had to refresh my OS, so this is a totally clean system as far as XLN is concerned.

WOW - as I type this I thought for giggles to run the installer for the upteenth time and it's working! I'm a computer guy and I can't explain this one. Perhaps I've installed something else that laid down some files XLN needed.

weird - thanks for the input!

Weird stuff happens for sure. I ran Windows updates yesterday and now I am getting the "this file has no program associated with I..." yippee!

I bought two 2TB external drives to backup all of my samples. One is the primary backup, and the 2nd is a copy of the primary - I'm not doing this rebuild again any time soon!

I think it's time to image my boot drive too, so I could just restore if something goes south...
