I don't think I'll downgrade, just delay the next payment. 

I am pretty sure that skipping a payment is a downgrade. When your monthly payment stops so will the functioning of the new version. If you want to use a version of Sonar at that point it will have to be a version you already own from before the new membership model stated (without any features you downloaded for the new version). Whether you will be able to use things like loops that you downloaded for the new version with your old version, I do not know.

I'm not on monthly, my next payment will be in January.

Pretty content with what we have so far.
The features that came at release time, mix recal, vocal sync, and the numerous little enhancements were probably worth the price of upgrade.
I'm glad to see the bakers living up to their lofty ideals of what they wanted to do with the membership. While I'm a guitarist I've had enough Craigerton content. We discussed it the other day and I got the impression that he's the only one creating content for the membership so I guess that's what we'll keep getting.
I'm liking the response to forum requests by the bakers and I'm keen to have a full 12 months to look back on to really evaluate Sonar and membership progress.

When my year is up I'll compare what I got from Platinum against what I would have missed on Professional. I think core improvements is what I'm really interested in and I don't need any more effects chains or loops. Time will tell.

1. Platinum is probably tested more than the downgraded versions
2. What I don't need today I may need tomorrow.
3. Everyone thinks I'm a fanboy, I don't want to spoil the party

Dude, at least half the people on this forum are fanboys. They were quick to shut people up when they were outraged over the business practices they adopted. They have every right to their opinion, especially since they paid money.
