Hi All,
I've been looking for a way to turn "local off" off at startup.  It just doesn't work for me to have all my keyboards shutdown like that. In fact it's a right pain.

so far I have found this:

TTSSEQ.INI
[Options] section
SendLocalOff=nnon-zero to set synths to Local Off at startup, dflt=1
SendLocalOn=nnon-zero to set synths to Local On at exit, dflt=0

Looks promising, only problem is I don't have that file.  I guess I could write one but I don't know where it should go and what format it should be.  There is also a reference to an "Options" section but I can't find that either.

Any help would be much appreciated.  At the moment I have to keep switching synths off and on to get round the problem, which only work for midi attached.

That looks like a sysx message. (System Exclusive)

There is a sysx editor in Sonar. It will allow you to write the file, embed the commands in a midi file which sends the sysx part at the beginning of the midi track. That's a very basic lay and explanation of something I've not done in years.
I think the editor is either in the Edit or Views menu of Sonar.

Check this link all about sysx. https://www.cakewalk.com/...ge=3&help=SYSX.04.html

Thanks, but no it's a setting that sits in the file TTSSEQ.INI it's just I don't have one for some reason.  Basically all I want to do is stop Sonar sending the local keyboard off message when it starts.

here's the info I found:

Although I'm not sure it relates to X3 on second look.  Still, there must be a way to turn it off, it's such a pain.

found this too:

I'm going to try to create the file and see if that does it.

OK, problem solved.  Cakewalk have kindly provided all the information you need except where the files are.
