Janet: I tried to be tasteful on the piano not just slamming keys.... I enjoyed doing the piano. I should do this more.

Lynn:  Rayzoon sent me JS3 for free so I decided to check it out and really like it. I have another tune I'm using it on.

Kev: Thanks, Pat and I really worked on the lyrics to this ..... much appreciated. There's always gonna be nits.... I'm busy for the following 6 days so it won't get looked at for a while..... I will listen to the song and look for what you mentioned.

Mike: thanks.... each time I have recorded this, it has been different. I think this is somewhere around version 4.... the very first was simple guitar/acoustic.....it's taken some time to get here.

Yea, real cool tune Herb, new vocal track is very nicely performed and captured. I really enjoy the other instruments you've added, mandolin and expressive fiddle sound sweet. I almost forgot you were the one to recommend Jamstix a few years back in the Guitar Tracks days. Still one of my favorite tools.

Grant.... thanks.  I had stopped using JS for a while as I was trying some new tools. I have started to us it again.  As I stated above they sent me JS3 for free and it sat on my hard drive for quite some time before I decided to install it and take it out for a test drive.

That Mandolin was a great investment for $80.... my wife rolled her eyes and made a snide comment about bluegrass music under her breath when I showed it to her for the first time the day I bought it. Anyway, I really like it.

Herb,

Really fine song.. nice job on the piano and mando too.  It is easy to overplay either of those instruments, particularly if not your primary instrument,  but I think you got it just right.    Sounds great.

Very nice remix. The only thing that stands out to me is that the piano does not sound like it is in the same room as everything else. Might just be me though...

Dan

I'm not complaining Herb, I hope you don't think that, I apologize if I come across that way. I thought it sounded great honestly.

You've helped me a lot in the past and I can't thank you enough for your help on various things with recording.

I didn't say loud was a bad thing, I just said it was loud. Great tune, and like I said the clarity was great!!

Excellent!!

Sorry I haven't replied.... I was out of town for the weekend ..... down in Dallas (Beagle's town I think... or is it Fort Worth?) for my daughter's wedding shower hosted by our new in laws.... got to meet the family and extended friends and relatives and had a good time albeit a short and busy one.

Makke: thank you for the fine words.

Markno999: I agree, and I do tend to overplay, but on this one I forced myself to play with a "less is more" mind set.

Dan:  I have a nice ride this morning to the job.... so I will listen with those thoughts in mind.

Bobby: We're good bro... no problem.

Scott: Thanks......

Nice (updated) track, Herb! Mix, Composition and Arrangement were well done! Add me to the: "Likes the Mandolin part" as well!
