I was gonna say, I listen to Johnny Winter for slide guitar (for guitar, period), and your vocals are at *least* on par with a lot of his. Good singing.

The lead solo break is confusing. At 2:01 the song is in D, and you're playing a B-flat blues box. For some types of jazz, that might work. But power chords in D have very strong D and A, and that A is going clash every time with the B-flat in the lead (2:18 - 2:20).

If it sounds like a choice *and* it leads the listener's ear back home to D, great. I don't hear that going on in this solo.

great power.
guitars sound mint, always a bright spot for you IMO.
drums are right on time and sound awesome.
looks like James  has taken my advice and quantized his drums.
its a huge difference.
I can finally say there perfect.

slides are tasty and placed perfectly in the chorus and hook.
your voice isn't the worst ive heard.its not too bad.

Sorry Chuck I didn't add drums to this song by Bobby , cheers !

notnat - Thanks man, I don't so much with slide, I just kinda winged it there. Thanks again!!

AT - Thank you, I might try that. I'm working on a spin off version of this tune called "You Can't Let It Slide", it's going to be the exact opposite of this song. I'm gonna need some help on the multi-vox thing though. Thanks again.

The Night Fox - Kinda old news James, I lost the master tracks to this one. But I am working on a newer spin off version which I just sent you the rough take of it. No pressure, just be PERFECT!!!! LOL!! Just kidding about that perfect thing Man. I'm sure you'll do great on it. Thanks for listening!!

evadianpug - Thanks Warren, I play the guitar/bass/vocals and everything, the drums I have to sadly program. Thanks Man!! Pugtones are AWESOME!!!

drumstixkev - Thank you so much for listening, those are some very kind comments. I wanna add some harmonies on this new spin off version I am working on. I'm hoping it will work out sounding better. We shall see. Thanks again.

Lynn - Thanks, that's what I was going for. Raw is the sound I wanted. Thank you for listening. Hopefully this new spin off version will not disappoint anyone. I hope to add add some harmonies and much more. Thanks again.

chuckebaby - Thanks man, and yes sir you are right on with the quantize advice. Bottom line is when you are recording you want your best out there, use whatever you can and do everything you can to make it sound your best, you can do the live thing later LIVE all ya want to ya know. I play my real  guitars/bass and everything but the drums, although I do edit and program my drums, hopefully I have gotten better in recent years at that part with the drums. But you are right on with the quantize stuff.
Thanks for listening.

UltimateMusicSnoob -  Thank you for the information and kind comments. Yeah I kinda winged it, sometimes I just improvise what I am doing at times. I probably shouldn't do that when recording, but I am happy with the raw sound it turned out being. Thanks again for listening and the advice. I'll keep that in mind on this new version spin off I am working on.

I laid down the Bass and Guitar Rhythm track for " YOU CAN'T LET IT SLIDE" the spin off tonight and sent them to James so he can add drums to them. Should be  interesting to see how this all works out. Either way, I'm having some fun with it.

THANKS FOR LISTENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robby, I SERIOUSLY, No bull and ALL KIDDING ASIDE apologize for that "LOUD" Comment. I said that to a couple of other people also, I recently fixed a short in my monitor volume/bass control cable and I am finally hearing things the way they are supposed to be hopefully, I'm kind of just getting used to full volume on these speakers again and I didn't stop and think about that until after I said the LOUD comment.

I apologize Robby and anyone else I made that comment to,

Thanks Man, I am working on a spinoff of it right now. I'm calling it "You Can't Let It Slide", where the "Let it Slide" means letting things go the "You Can't Let It Slide" means you can't take no more.

Thanks for the kind comments, and taking the time to listen.

You're firing on all cyliders with this one Bobby.  I even like your vocals in this one. You come up with some killer riffs in this track.

The mix sounds really raw and powerful with loads of energy. Perfect.

One of your best so far imho.

Good one Bobby.

Thanks Blipp, how have you been? I hope you've been doing well? I've learned a lot in the last year and half. I used to just throw anything and everything out there because I was just happy at the time to be able to record something, I've settled down a bit  since then and hope to get better at my playing and mixing and keep improving. I probably wont never be great on the technical side of mixing but I can hear there's a lot of room for improvement still. I'm not no professional musician or mixer that's for sure, but there's only one way to improve and that's to keep on working on it ya know.

Honestly I've gotten a lot of great advice from a lot of people here on the forums, a lot of information that I never would have figured out for myself I've found on these forums.

The best thing I ever done though that has helped me the most was taking the time to actually learn how to use the recording software and what it can do. Learning hot keys and using the keyboard saves so much time, when I started I used the mouse for everything and it took forever and was really confusing, one of the reasons I'd just throw anything out there at the time. When I started I thought I needed to record the rhythm guitars all the way through perfectly and knew nothing about punching in parts and other things. LOL, that was a few years ago then but it's hilarious for me to think about now days. I treated the software like a cassette recorder I guess is what I am trying to say, I knew nothing then.

Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment!!
