Here we go again...let's flog that dead horse s'more!

It wasn't intended as such. It was more a friendly and honest gesture of humility, and it was simply ignored and fingered out!

Even I've noticed that you tend to "shoehorn" this complaint into posts in a passive aggressive way. Might be time to just let it go. People don't mind helping others out on the forum at the own time and pace, but one on one help is something entirely different. Not everyone has the time for something like that. I had almost the exact thing years ago when a friend wanted me to give her some guitar lessons. I politely refused, because I'm not much of a teacher and I didn't have the time. But she did the same thing, taking every opportunity when in my presence to tell others that she would love to learn guitar but that nobody seemed interested in giving her lessons, in a "nod nod, wink wink" kind of way. And of course when I said something along the lines of "okay we get the point, don't flog it," she insinuated that I was kind of big headed to suppose that she was talking about me. It's kind of infuriating

That is sooooooooooo not me, it's almost ridiculous. They can joke and post funnies, but when they are also included in the jokes and funnies, they can't take it ... maybe you should direct your words both ways ... not just me! Bapu, at the very least, and thank you, does not say much and if he does he will just not bother ... and I actually have some respect for that, not to mention that if I had an album to put out, Bapu would get the first 20G's to get it going! AND get paid more than anyone else!

No, "I" live in that state.  "You" live in Seattle which is a completely more bizarre beast!  LOL!

I would rather have "Bunuelos" than voodoo donuts!

At least we would have a good laugh!

I picked it up - that is, the Kindle version for 10 bucks.  To begin with, it is absolutely DAW neutral.  In fact, it doesn't get much into techniques (like how to optimally use a compressor, for example).  It's more about attitude, organization and efficient work habits.  I don't know how many pages the printed book is, but at 30 bucks, it seems a bit pricey.  I got about 20% of the way through the ebook in just about an hour, so it's not all that long.  So far, I would not hesitate to recommend it for a ten buck investment.

I expect I'll be writing a full review for the July issue of SoundBytes.  In the meantime, the worst that can happen if you buy the ebook is that you're only be out ten dollars.  I believe they have a few chapters accessible for free on-line to help anyone make up their mind.
