Strummy, or other English folks ...
 
I saw a list of the candidates a few weeks ago and lost it ... there was a Druid ... on one party and several other weird ones ... do you happen to have the list? I want to be a charter member for that crazy/insane one ... sounded perfectly right for me, but I forgot it's name! I am an honorary member of the "how sweet to be an idiot" club, and also an honorary professor of the University of Errors, for which I have a degree on my wall!
 
Not sure the CH would like competition, though! Can you see it? "I'm a Charter member of the Coffee House" on a t-shirt? I'm gonna make one just for you guys to see!

 
We do have the "The Official Monster Raving Loony Party" of course Pedro, formed by Screaming Lord Sutch in 1983.
 
 

Well, Nick Clegg has managed to lead his party into oblivion. His entry into an odd couple coalition at the expense of the ideals he claimed to represent for his supporters could be interpreted as either a shameless sell out for a foolish hope of personal power or an unprincipled sell out for a stupid hope of personal power. Apparently the voters agreed. I think the Druids might have more clout now.

a) Luckily no-one really takes his party seriously, so no real harm done either way.
 
b) I can't decide what made my day more....Red Ed getting his arse on a plate or the delicious irony that is Green voters actively wasting paper.

I notice the usual rent-a-mob "anarchists" (i.e. over-privileged upper middle class students from the London School of Economics) have been rioting in London because the Tories won the election. It's all so woefully unfair that a minority of voters can win an election, unless of course your own party wins in which case it's champagne and balloons. I have some very anti-Tory friends on Facebook who have been openly suggesting that democracy should be replaced by some kind of benign dictatorship, all because the election didn't go their way. It's pathetic. Personally I became detached from it all and couldn't care less because every single one of the candidates was more of the same big-government-in-your-face BS, just selling slightly different brands of it. But I'm always amused by the whining of the losers.
